Former Idol Confesses Battle With Facial Paralysis

On October 21, former Click-B member Oh Jong Hyuk appeared as a special MC for SBS’s Same Bed, Different Dreams 2: You Are My Destiny.

In the episode, he confessed that he suffered from facial paralysis twice. Bell palsy is an unexplained facial muscle paralysis that usually occurs on one side of the face or head.

I first developed the disease in 2014 due to overworking with two musicals and a drama. I didn’t even know what it was then. It felt like I had been anesthetized at the dentist and couldn’t control my facial muscles.

Later, he suffered a relapse while preparing for his wedding.

I was filming a variety show and practicing a new performance. After the wedding and filming, the paralysis came again the day after the first performance. I battled the paralysis for about four months.
