Former LE SSERAFIM’s Kim Garam Finds Success In Her New Path — Here’s Her Latest Whereabouts
LE SSERAFIM‘s former member Kim Garam was once the center member and visual of the group. Just a month after her debut, she was hit with multiple bullying allegations that rocked the K-Pop industry. A month after allegations broke out, she announced her withdrawal from the group. It was said that she returned to her regular life as a teenager, attending the School of Performing Arts Seoul (SOPA). Recently, in May 2023, Kim Garam graduated from SOPA.
Befitting her acting major at SOPA, it seems like Kim Garam is going down the path she desires. Customary of art schools and academies, her school posted a public announcement to congratulate those who had gotten into prestigious schools and majors. According to the announcement, Kim Garam is part of the rare seven students who passed the first round of applications for the acclaimed acting department of Dongguk University.
Even though the second syllabus of her name was redacted in the announcement, fans were sure that it was Kim Garam, due to her unique name. Furthermore, the list of seven students were only from the acting major department of SOPA. According to data provided by TH Acting Academy in South Korea, there are over 2000 applicants yearly. Only 30 students are accepted each year. At 72.5% rate of acceptance, it is the third most famous acting department in South Korea. Department graduates include Girls’ Generation‘s Seohyun and YoonA. Kim Garam just needs to pass the second round and she’s in! Congratulations to the young star.
