Popular 3rd-Gen K-Pop Idol Tells All The Realities Of Periods
Periods or monthly menstrual cycles are something every woman must go through, including K-Pop idols. Fans often wonder what their favorite idols do to handle their periods when they have schedules. Former MOMOLAND member Daisy often receives this question on TikTok.
Now, Daisy has finally responded to a comment, asking, “Daisy can you please tell us how idols deal with everything during period, if they have it or stop it.” She explained that most everyone still endures it.
It’s literally the same as anyone who has a period. Unfortunately, we, as a society, have decided that people with periods still have to show up for work. So, we’re all going through it.

Daisy is aware that it’s possible for some people to lose their period due to malnutrition, losing weight, etc. Yet, she never knew anyone who did.
There were a lot of people responding to each other’s questions like, ‘A lot of idols actually don’t have their period anymore because they’re underweight,’ and, yes, that’s probably true for a lot of people because that is not an uncommon thing to happen to people who are underweight, your period stops. I don’t know how common that was. I personally have not seen that happen to somebody.

So, in her personal experience, idols handled their periods like most of us. We still have to show up for work, so we take medicine and endure.
But yeah, most of the time, people just push through, pop a pill, and use tampons. Unfortunately, there is no magic cure.

One common fear is an accidental leak. Previously, former SECRET NUMBER member Denise recounted bleeding through her music show outfit while on her period. Daisy explained stylists are usually prepared for such accidents.
As for leaks and that kind of accidental stuff, there’s usually backup pants or skirts, and you can honestly just talk to your stylist and be like, ‘I’m on my period, can’t wear white, sorry.’ And they’ll be like, ‘Oh, okay.’

Daisy revealed that as a student, she suffered from bad period cramps with a pain level of 9/10. So, she was concerned about how it would affect her as an idol. Yet, when she debuted, her period surprisingly became regular and easy.
They suddenly became super consistent and painless. I don’t know if it was a mental thing where I was convincing myself that I was actually not in pain, but it kind of worked out for me in the end, so I wasn’t complaining.

She revealed that her cramps have since come back, though. When she returned to her normal lifestyle, the excruciating cramps returned.
It’s like my body yearns for stress and starvation.
