Former “Peak Time” Contestant Accused Of School Bullying Gets Acquitted
Kim Hyunjae, an ex-member of the boy group BLACK6IX, was recently cleared of all accusations of school bullying against him.
Kim participated in the JTBC reality competition show Peak Time in 2023 but had to withdraw due to accusations of school bullying. On July 10, 2024, he personally announced through his Instagram that the Seoul Central District Court had found his accuser guilty of making false allegations.
The accuser, a former classmate of Kim, has been ordered by the court to pay Kim damages. The court also acquitted Kim of all accusations.
Meanwhile, Kim Hyunjae debuted with BLACK6IX in April of 2017. But it wasn’t until his appearance on Peak Time that he gained mainstream attention during the first half of 2023. After being accused of school bullying, he announced his withdrawal from the show and continued to pursue a year-long legal battle against his accuser.
