Well-Connected Former Policeman Assaults South Korean Woman On A Walk
A well-connected former policeman in South Korea was recently caught assaulting a woman in her 30s who was out for a walk. She had been taking her dog out when she ran into the perpetrator, who is in his 60s. It was said that the perpetrator is the husband of a former cabinet member for Mokpo City, and he himself used to work as a policeman.
According to reports, he had attacked her using a wooden stick. He claimed the reason to be that she was walking her dog in front of his house. He was angered by that and decided to attack her. After she fell down, he continued to attack her head and limbs. She later reported the matter, and he was caught on sight. She was moved to a hospital for treatment.
A resident who had witnessed the situation claimed that he had hit her so viciously that the blunt wooden stick had broken into half. When she showed signs of moving, he even uttered, “she’s not dead yet, I see.” The resident expressed worries that he would not be properly dealt with, as his wife and brother were both in the political field. The case is currently under investigation.
