Former K-Pop Idol’s Unexpected Update After Drug Scandal Shocks Netizens

Former WINNER member Nam Tae Hyun, who previously was sentenced for illegally abusing drugs, shocked netizens with his recent whereabouts.
He received a 1-year sentence, suspended for two, while ex-girlfriend Seo Eun Woo received a 10-month prison sentence, suspended for two.
After his drug scandal, many believed he had left the industry for good. However, netizens found an update about him, and it was posted on an online community board.
He previously stated, “I will live my life reflecting on my actions so that I can be a person who can help drug prevention.”

Netizens found that he was holding lectures about drug prevention.
Recently, he posted a video on his personal YouTube channel, which revealed the lecture he held at the Jeonbuk Mental Health Welfare Center last year.
In the video, he talked honestly about his drug addiction and his recovery process, hoping to deliver a message of hope to addicts.
“My dependence on drugs stemmed from a bad mindset. Addiction is not just a matter of substances but stems from inner weakness, anxiety, and fear.
Thanks to the support of family and friends, I believed that recovery was possible. I could not overcome it alone and learned how important it is to receive professional help.”
