Former Wonder Girls Member Hyelim Revealed She’s Publishing Her First Essay Book
Former Wonder Girls member Hyelim just revealed that she’s accomplished something she’s always wanted to do — publish her own book!
On August 4, Hyelim surprised everyone when she took to her Instagram and announced that the book she’s been working on for over a year is finally ready.
Posting a video and photos of the printing process, Hyelim excitedly shared in both Korean and English, “I’m so happy to finally share my book with you! My first essay book, which I’ve been preparing for over a year, will be published next week! (From the 14th you’ll be able to see it in bookstores^^). It’s based on love and relationship, and my attitude towards life.”
Although she admitted she is nervous and excited to share the book with everyone, she revealed that publishing her own book has always been something that she’s wanted to do.
Having my own book has always been on my bucket list. Which is why today is a dream come true for me. I just couldn’t be more thankful and excited! Can’t wait for you to read it. However, the downside is that there’s only a Korean version of the book.

While this is her first book to be published, it actually isn’t the first time her work has been published. During university, Hyelim was an active English reporter for the school newspaper. Additionally, she translated The Diary of Anne Frank which was later published as well.
Hyelim’s book will officially hit bookstores in Korea on August 14 and, hopefully, bookstores around the world in the future too!
