Four Popular Female Idols Set To Make Their Movie Debut With Upcoming Supernatural Thriller

According to reports on October 4, South Korean production company ACEMAKER Movieworks has cast four popular female idols from third and fourth-generation idol groups in its upcoming thriller, Gory: A Horror Tale.

The idols in question are MAMAMOO‘s Solar, WJSN‘s Eunseo, StayC‘s Sumin, and Lovelyz‘s Jisoo.

Gory: A Horror Tale is directed by Hong Won Ki, who also worked in the 2020 series Goedam and its spin-off, Urban Myths, both horror anthologies based on famous Korean urban legends.

Apart from the female idols, the star ensemble also includes Yoo Jae Myung, whose latest work is Harbin, a movie that premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival. Actress Moon Chae Won is also in the cast.

The story of Gory: A Horror Take follows several characters whose apparent unrelated experiences turn out to be eerily similar within their intertwined relationships.

The movie, produced by Jerrygood Company and Zanybros, is planned for a 2025 release.
