Police Confirm Unexpected Update Regarding FTISLAND Choi Minhwan’s Prostitution Scandal
It has been confirmed that FTISLAND’s Choi Minhwan has gone to adult entertainment establishments.
According to the police investigation results from December 20, he was cleared of charges due to insufficient evidence.
In July 2022, Choi was accused of contacting Mr. A, an employee at an adult entertainment establishment in Seoul, and paying and engaging in prostitution with an unknown woman.
The police investigating the case revealed he used words such as “TC” and “Miss,” which were considered terms used in certain establishments, and determined that he was trying to go to an adult establishment.
During his statement, he claimed, “I contacted Mr. A and often went to adult establishments, but never engaged in prostitution. I don’t remember if I went to the adult establishments mentioned.”
Mr. A also added, “It was a conversation about going to an adult entertainment establishment and not a prostitution establishment.”
With this, the police concluded that charges of prostitution could not be acknowledged solely from the recordings of Choi and Mr. A, as there was no other evidence to refute the statements.
Choi’s ex-wife, Yulhee, who exposed the controversy, refused to be investigated and did not submit the original recording file. The police have also decided not to prosecute Choi for the sexual assault charge against Yulhee due to insufficient evidence.
Meanwhile, Choi posted a message to fans on Weverse to emphasize he was not involved in prostitution.
