The 2023 KBS Entertainment Awards recently awarded some of Korea’s top stars, honoring excellence in variety and reality entertainment.

Scriptwriter Award
2 Days & 1 Night writer Choi Hye Ran and KBS‘s Open Concert writer Yang Young Mi won this year’s Scriptwriter Awards.
Staff of the Year
Nam Byung Guk won the Staff of the Year award.
Best Icon Award
Choo Sung Hoon (also known as Yoshihiro Akiyama) earned the Best Icon Award for his appearance on Boss in the Mirror.
Singer-songwriter Lee Mujin earned the Best Icon Award for his musical talk show, Leemujin Service.
Best Idea Award
Comedian Shin Yoon Seung took home the Best Idea Award for his appearance on KBS’s Gag Concert.
Comedian Jo Su Yeon also won the Best Idea Award for her appearance on KBS’s Gag Concert.
Popularity Award
The Superman Returns cast took home the Popularity Award.
Rookie of the Year – Reality Shows
Jin Seo Yeon won the Rookie of the Year award in reality shows for her appearance on Stars’ Top Recipe at Fun-Staurant.
Chef Jung Ji Sun took home the Rookie of the Year award for her appearance on Boss in the Mirror.
Rookie of the Year – Variety Shows
JYP Entertainment‘s quartet of legendary vocalists, Golden Girls, won the Rookie of the Year award for their music show, Golden Girls.
Actor and singer Yoo Seon Ho, who became a cast member on 2 Days & 1 Night in 2022, also took home the Rookie of the Year award for variety.
Producer Special Award
Rapper, singer, and variety star Boom won the Producer Special Award for his appearance on Stars’ Top Recipe at Fun-Staurant.
Digital Content Award
LE SSERAFIM‘s Eunchae won the Digital Content Award for her variety program, Eunchae’s Star Diary.
Best Entertainer Award
Singer-songwriter Kang Daniel took home the Best Entertainer Award for his appearance on Mr. House Husband.
Best Challenge Award
Korean rock band YB won the Best Challenge Award for the musical documentary The Black Box On Earth.
Radio DJ of the Year Award
DAY6‘s Young K took home the Radio DJ of the Year award for hosting the radio show Kiss The Radio.
Comedian Lee Eun Ji also won the Radio DJ of the Year award as the host of KBS’s Gayo Plaza.
Best Couple Award
LE SSERAFIM’s Eunchae and actor Lee Chae Min won the Best Couple Award. The two talented stars are MCs for KBS’s Music Bank.
Married comedians Park Joon Hyung and Kim Ji Hye won the Best Couple Award for appearing on Mr. House Husband.
50th Anniversary Award
Veteran announcer Kim Dong Eun won the night’s special 50th Anniversary Award.
Best Teamwork Award
The Gag Concert cast took home the Best Teamwork Award.
Excellence Award In Reality
Kim Jun Ho won the Excellence Award in Reality for his appearance on Superman Returns.
Excellence Award In Variety Shows
Jannabi member Choi Jung Hoon won the Excellence Award in Variety Shows for his appearance in the musical documentary The Black Box On Earth.
Actor Joo Woo Jae also won the Excellence Award in Variety Shows for his appearance on Beat Coin.
Best Excellence Award in Reality Shows
Trot singer Lee Chan Won won the Best Excellence Award in Reality Shows for his appearance on Stars’ Top Recipe at Fun-Staurant
Jasson also won the Best Excellence Award in Reality Shows for his appearance on Superman Returns.
Best Excellence Award in Variety Shows
Kim Jun Hyun won the Best Excellence Award in Variety Shows as the host of Immortal Songs 2 (also known as Immortal Songs: Singing The Legend).
Actress and comedian Hon Jin Kyung also won the Best Excellence Award in Variety Shows for her appearance on Beat Coin.
Best Program Award
The popular music competition program Immortal Songs 2 took home the Best Program Award.
Entertainer of the Year Award
Lee Chun Soo, Jun Hyun Moo, J.Y. Park, the 2 Days & 1 Night cast, Shin Dong Yup, Ryu Soo Young, and Kim Sook all won the Entertainer of the Year award.
Grand Prize (Daesang)
The night’s grand prize went to the cast of the popular variety show 2 Days & 1 Night.
