Since 2007, Gallup Korea has played an important role in identifying leading figures in various fields, including sports, broadcasting, acting, and music. The results of Gallup Korea’s nationwide survey include K-Pop girl groups, boy groups, and soloists. It was conducted from August 19 to August 23 and surveyed men and women aged 19 to 69.

Girls’ Generation tied with first-generation idol Seo Taiji (who debuted with Seo Taiji and Boys in the late 1990s), and legendary first-generation boy group g.o.d for eighth place. According to a report by Star News, they each received 6% of the vote.
