G-Dragon’s Excessive Fan Letters Are Preventing Soldiers From Receiving Their Own Letters, YG Issues Statement
It’s been less than two weeks since G-Dragon enlisted in the army and YG Entertainment has already issued a statement regarding his military service to the fans.
Fans have sent way too many e-mails to the training center inbox, freezing the system and preventing other soldiers from receiving their letters.
Although it’s the situation is understandable YG Entertainment has asked fans to send letters moderately.
“YG Entertainment has an urgent announcement for G-Dragon fans. G-Dragon, as a Korean man, began his military service on the 27th of last month. With all of your warm support, he is training healthily. However, due to such a large amount of letters, G-Dragon is in a difficult situation at the army base so we would like to request one thing. Currently, the training center’s e-mail account (for receiving letters) is frozen due to letters for G-Dragon. The e-mails are all printed out then distributed to the soldiers-in-training, so A4 paper and ink are running out. Due to this overload, the other soldiers-in-training have been unable to receive their letters. As this situation repeats itself, G-Dragon feels more and more sorry towards his fellow trainees and is also apologetic to those who have sent letters as he cannot read all of them. In an unfamiliar environment, all of the fans’ support and worries have been a source of strength and something to be grateful for. However, for the sake of G-Dragon’s harmonious training camp life, please carefully consider and moderately send letters. Thank you for reading until the end.” — YG Entertainment
