G-Dragon’s Legal Team “Disbands,” Amid Netizen Apologies
BIGBANG G-Dragon‘s legal team celebrated their success in clearing the idol’s name and “disbanded” at a small get-together at Galaxy Corporation‘s headquarters.
On December 30, photos from the get-together shared via Instagram began circulating online—capturing G-Dragon with his new management CEO, Choi Yong Ho…
…as well as his legal representative, head attorney Lee Jung Yeop of LKB & Partners, and other supporters.
Hinting back at one of G-Dragon’s earlier updates mid-investigations, a banner hung in the background read, “Sa-Pil-Gwi-Jung,” meaning “What’s right will prevail.” The banner also thanked the “Dream Team” for sticking with G-Dragon through it all.

Disbanding G-Dragon’s Dream Team
Thank you for everything. I will not forget how you stayed by my side through the darkest times.

Dr. Kim Nan Hee, Lee’s spouse, commented in an update that the legal team was diligent, working “58 days straight, missing sleep and dealing with the police and the press.”
A celebration with G-Dragon! I went with my husband who worked so hard to resolve this difficult case… (He didn’t get enough sleep for the past 58 days, dealing with the police and the press relentlessly.) This was at the Galaxy Corporation headquarters, where CEO Choi Yong Ho will start new…
…G-Dragon custom-ordered the cakes for us. I was so happy to receive flowers from him, too. I’ve always been a fan of his, but I’m really going to support him now! His personality is as amazing as his fashion style…

Accounts from those who attended the get-together shared that G-Dragon gifted custom-ordered cakes…
…which, BIGBANG fans recognized to be a throwback to former member T.O.P‘s birthday cake from the Strange Bakery Room.
G-Dragon fans expressed relief to see the idol smiling in the photos. Some netizens “apologized” for having been biased while the investigations were ongoing.
- “I wish the best for G-Dragon going forward.”
- “Wishing him nothing but happiness forever.”
- “G-Dragon fought well, responding with zero tolerance.”
- “Good work. Rooting for him!”
- “Wow. He looks different, like a wholesome good man.”
- “I apologize. I never left hate comments or whatnot. But based on his previous incident, I believed that he’d test positive. When I saw the malicious videos about him, I was 100% convinced he was a druggie. From now on, I won’t be so quick to judge until I know for sure. G-Dragon made me realize how narrow-minded I am. He must have gone through so much. I hope he finds double the happiness.”
- “Looking good.”
- “Aigoo… Good work.”
Others warned the unwavering haters to watch out for legal consequences for spreading rumors and leaving malicious comments toward G-Dragon.
- “I wasn’t too interested in G-Dragon, but watching him go through this… I realized what a man he is. Good work, G-Dragon. I look forward to the music that he’ll be putting out. I’ve never been an actual fan, but I know how iconic he is. And I grew up watching him, so I’m partial to him no matter what. I want the best for him.”
- “Whew. Good work, G-Dragon! It was such an unfair price to pay for being popular. But I wish all the good things for him going forward!”
- “I never left any comments, but I did misunderstand him. I’m sorry.”
- “While I didn’t post anything about him, I admit that I judged him and assumed the worst about him… Turns out I’m the worst for doing so. Congratulations, and I’m sorry for not trusting you.”
- “I’m not exactly a fan, but I still wish you well and congratulate you for clearing your name from what was the most ridiculous investigation!”
- “G-Dragon kept me happy throughout my childhood. I hope he can be as happy as I was. Stay healthy, and live well. Good work, G-Dragon!”
- “Good work! G-Dragon almost lost everything because of something he did not do. Of course, a celebration is necessary! TBH, I think that’s what life is about. You have to hold on to the little things, give them meaning, and keep them close to your heart so you don’t mess up. I’m glad he had the courage to stand up for himself and to fight this battle head-on.”
When the photos went viral, Galaxy Corporation clarified via News1 that the get-together was held on December 22 and that G-Dragon has canceled his schedule to mourn the passing of Lee Sun Kyun.
On December 31, a Galaxy Corporation representative confirmed with News1 that ‘The get-together was held on December 22, but it seems the photos began circulating late.’ The representative added, ‘As the entertainment industry grieves the loss of late Lee Sun Kyun, G-Dragon, too, has canceled all of his official schedule and is mourning the passing.’
