G-Dragon Posts A Photo Then Quickly Deletes It Amidst His Drug Use Allegations
BIGBANG‘s G-Dragon, who recently denied drug use allegations, has become a hot topic for his recent Instagram post that appeared then disappeared in the blink of an eye.
Amidst drug use allegations following actor Lee Sun Kyun‘s drug use scandal, G-Dragon uploaded a photo on his Instagram story on October 31. Although the photo was quickly deleted, it spread like wildfire amongst netizens in various online communities and social media.
The deleted post by G-Dragon contained terms and quotes for Buddhist teachings such as the Noble Eightfold Path and Enlightenment.
There were definitions of the eight Buddhist practices in the Noble Eightfold Path, which are: right view, right resolve, right speech, right action, right livelihood, right effort, right mindfulness, and right samadhi (meditation).
The photo also mentioned Enlightenment, which refers to the state of reaching the highest level in Buddhism, when a Buddhist finds the truth about life and stops being reborn because they have reached Nirvana.
Netizens who saw this speculated that G-Dragon, who is under investigation for drug allegations but has vehemently denied drug use, might be expressing his current state of mind. Many expressed their opinions that he was emphasizing his innocence by denying any drug use.
Earlier, on October 25, the Incheon Metropolitan Police Agency’s drug crime investigation unit booked G-Dragon on charges of violating drug laws. However, G-Dragon claimed innocence, stating that he did not use drugs.
Later, G-Dragon’s legal representative once again denied the allegations of drug use and submitted a voluntary attendance statement to the police, showing his intention to cooperate fully. He is currently preparing to voluntarily appear for questioning on November 6.
