BIGBANG's G-Dragon Shocks Fans With Voice Change

On October 30, BIGBANG‘s G-Dragon guested on tvN’s You Quiz On The Block and expressed his honest feelings about returning with a solo album after seven years.

This also marks his first variety show appearance in 12 years.

While it’s been so long since fans have seen G-Dragon, especially in such a setting, they were happy to see somethings never change. G-Dragon is his same endearingly shy self!

Yet, fans couldn’t help but notice there was a change. G-Dragon’s voice had changed!

The comment section was filled with comments regarding G-Dragon’s voice. Nearly everyone agreed his voice sounded deeper and raspier.

Some even compared it to other people. Some thought G-Dragon sounded like T.O.P, while others said it sounded like G-Dragon was impersonating YG.

Netizens wondered what triggered G-Dragon’s voice change. Some believe his voice naturally got deeper as he aged. They also suspect it’s a result of smoking cigarettes.

It seems like it could be that G-Dragon naturally changes his voice (like code-switching) depending on his environment.
