(G)I-DLE recently sat down for an interview with Teen Vogue, where they talked about their comeback, trainee days, and restarting their journey as 5 members instead of 6.

In March 2021, member Soojin was accused of bullying during her school days, and went on hiatus pending an investigation. She then left the group in August, and CUBE Entertainment terminated their artist contract with her in March 2020.

(G)I-DLE also went on hiatus as a group during this time, while pursuing solo projects instead. After a long hiatus of a year, (G)I-DLE had their first performance as a 5-member group at the Expo 2020 in Dubai, where they performed many of their hit songs, such as “Oh My God”, “Dumdi Dumdi”, “HWAA”, and their debut track “LATATA”!

In the interview, the members talked about the concert, and relayed how happy they were to see their fans after 2 long years. For their performance, maknae Shuhua had to practice relentlessly to take over Soojin’s lines, and many of her center parts for the dance breaks, such as in “LATATA”.

She revealed that she was extremely nervous about having to cover these additional parts, and was happy for the positive feedback she received from fans after the show!

I was really worried because I had new additional lines, but I got a lot of good feedback!
