(G)I-DLE Soyeon‘s comments about CUBE Entertainment‘s treatment of the group seemingly hit back at criticism she received after the contract renewal.
It was revealed that all the members of (G)I-DLE had renewed their contracts with CUBE Entertainment.
Yet, after the announcement, the group was hit with criticism for staying at CUBE Entertainment.

In a new video for Pixid, Soyeon’s guest was YouTuber Mimiminu, and he found it insane how easily she spoke about her income and earnings.
When he explained how shocked he was, he explained that Soyeon must get scolded for it, but the idol added, “My agency can’t scold me now.”
Soyeon revealed that after the contract renewal, there is a more equal relationship.
Soyeon then joked that rather than scolding, she added that they “probably just talked behind my back.”
When the video was posted, netizens hit back at all the haters who criticized (G)I-DLE’s decision, sharing that the members seemed to get a very good deal and now they have “power” over CUBE and much more influence than most groups have, because of the negotiations for the new contract.
