Recently, (G)I-DLE performed two shows in Seoul.

During the shows, the members did their own solo stages.

When it came to Soyeon, she performed her iconic song called “Is this bad b****** number?” but added a new rap for 2024, referencing what many thought was a “diss” to new idols, as it referred to the way to prove you’re a “rapper.”

Soyeon has constantly proven her skills as an idol, a rapper, and a producer. When the “diss rap” was released, many netizens were obsessed with Soyeon’s lyrics and hit back at haters who found issues with the song, pointing out that the idol never mentioned any names and that her record speaks for itself when making statements like she did.

Sadly, Soyeon did receive major backlash from netizens as many fans expected. Some used Soyeon’s past to claim that she couldn’t make such brash comments, while others targeted her members, saying that the lyrics could apply to them.

Soyeon has always been rightly proud of her talent and achievements. Yet, it seems like some netizens are ready to tear her down whenever she tries to make a statement that could be deemed “controversial.”
