In a recent video for the YouTube channel Pixid, Soyeon was making some popcorn.

She then took it to share with some elderly people who couldn’t have a cinema experience.

During the video, Soyeon was sitting with some elderly Koreans, and the man seemed confused about where the idol was from because of the way she talked.

When asked where she was from, Soyeon shocked the people in the room when she explained that she was from Seoul. He took Soyeon by surprise after asking if she had crossed the border…

Because he thought she had crossed the border from North Korea to South Korea.  When Soyeon clarified that’s what they meant, the other people in the room agreed with the man about thinking she was from North Korea.

After the shock wore off and she acknowledged what happened, Soyeon hilariously started writing down what the man had said.

When the video was shared, it instantly went viral and reached over 11,000 likes less than 24 hours after posting.

When the video was posted, along with the quotes and replies to the viral tweet, netizens couldn’t get over how Soyeon’s reactions to being mistaken for a North Korean. In particular, they loved how her first reaction was shock, and then she wrote it down, with many joking that she was going to write a song about it.

As always, Soyeon isn’t only talented but charismatic and hilarious.
