News outlets had been suspicious about a potential relationship between the two before her company shut down the rumors. Pledis Entertainment confirmed that while they had been in attendance together, she was not romantically involved with him. A day after the rumors broke out, Jiwon sent fans some messages on her subscription service. While the messages sounded normal, fans found a hidden acrostic poem.
