Group’s Silent Disbandment Seemingly Confirmed With Member’s Departure

We wish her the best!

Recently, the graduation ceremony for the latest class of Hanlim Arts High School graduates took place. Hanlim is an art school that many idols and trainees attend, even after debuting.

The news of one particular idol graduating sparked some mixed emotions as it confirmed her departure from her group.

On Hanlim Arts High School’s social media page, several already debuted or working idols were separately announced. This included Rinji, known to fans as a member of PIXY.

PIXY originally debuted as a six-membered group in February 2021 with the digital single “Wings.” By August 2022, the group was down to four members following the health-related departures of Ella and Satbyeol.

After adding a member the following month, the group embarked on European and American tours.

In June 2024, many were left surprised after member Dajeong, now known as U_Chae, announced her departure from the group on Instagram. Later that year, member Lola, now known as Choi Yu Jeong, announced her departure similarly.

With Rinji’s departure confirmed, there are only two members left in the group, though their status is not officially known. Many have seen the new information about Rinji’s status with the group as an indication that the group have silently disbanded and reacted with mixed emotions.

Congratulations to Rinji on her graduation, and best wishes to her in her future endeavors!
