You’d Never Believe What Girls’ Generation’s “Girls For Rest” Concept Was Based On
What Girls’ Generation wants, they certainly get. This appears to be the case for their latest reality show, Girls For Rest.
As fans discovered, the whole concept of their vacation reality program seems to be based on the requests they made on the last episode of Channel Soshi.
During the last episode of Channel Soshi, the girls talked about how short it was to only have 8 eps and how fun it'd be to do an overseas version where they'd do nothing but rest and have fun. 3 years later, they're (though not complete) getting Girls For Rest. 💖😭 pic.twitter.com/KA1XiCh3cQ

In Channel Soshi, a reality program that aired in 2015, the members mentioned wanting to do a reality show with the concept of simply resting while enjoying their vacation overseas.
“We should do 10 episodes and rest for awhile. Don’t you think it will be great to do an overseas edition”
— Hyoyeon
“Doing a second season when we are not promoting. Just us having fun together”
— Yoona
Well the concept about Girls For Rest is certainly that! A program focused on resting as they document their travels in France.
Girls’ Generation Members In SM Confirmed To Star In New Reality Show
Girls’ Generations did also request to do a reality show every season, even when they hit their 40s!
Now that’s quite an idea to bring to life until the next reality show, right?
Girls For Rest has already begun as the members prepare for their Oh!GG unit debut!
