Girls’ Generation Hyoyeon’s Comments Flooded Despite Recent Apology
Girls’ Generation‘s Hyoyeon has seen an influx of comments on her Instagram post despite apologizing for a mistake.
On November 6, Hyoyeon hosted NCT DREAM on her YouTube program Hyo’s Level Up ahead of their upcoming comeback. During the episode, they discussed several topics, including NCT DREAM’s achievements as a group.
During a portion of the show, Hyoyeon mentions NCT DREAM’s album sales records, which include being the first SM Entertainment artist to sell a million albums during their first week of sales.
However, the videos initially stated they were the first SM Artist to sell one million albums in Korea, a distinction that fans quickly pointed out belonged to EXO.
Girls’ Generation’s Hyoyeon Slammed For Mistake Involving EXO And NCT DREAM, Releases Apology
The YouTube channel issued a correction and apology and changed the added subtitles to reflect NCT DREAM’s achievements accurately.
However, this has not appeased the group’s fans.
Looking at Hyoyeon’s comments on previous posts, you can see that she usually receives a couple hundred comments on each, with a few exceptions.
Her most recent posts, one of her that was the latest during the episode’s release, and one posted shortly after have over 2000 and over 1700 comments respectively.

Many of the comments mention the mistake made in the episode, demanding that she apologize along with insulting messages.
Not all of the comments are negative, as many supporters attempted to drown out the negativity with positive messages for the idol.
