Girls’ Generation’s Hyoyeon Couldn’t Hold Back Her Tears At “SMTOWN 2022”
SM Entertainment recently held their concert SMTOWN LIVE 2022 : SMCU EXPRESS @ HUMAN CITY_SUWON, where veteran group Girls’ Generation performed live together for the first time in five years.
During that highly-anticipated stage, Hyoyeon had an emotional moment that touched fans’ hearts.
While performing their comeback track “FOREVER 1”, fans noticed Hyoyeon becoming emotional. Despite her eyes filling with tears, Hyoyeon didn’t miss a line.
When the performance finished, Hyoyeon couldn’t stop the tears from flowing. As she wiped her eyes, Sunny and Yuri were right by her side to comfort her.
When Seohyun saw Hyoyeon crying, she was just as quick to run over and give her a warm hug of support, trying to wipe away her tears.
The members and fans wondered what had made Hyoyeon so emotional. Hyoyeon’s response made long-time fans just as teary-eyed. She answered, “It was so fun [that] I’m crying.”

Though the members have been focusing on solo activities for the past five years, Hyoyeon missed performing as a whole group.
