Girls’ Generation returning with the biggest comeback promotions yet
Additional information regarding Girls’ Generation‘s highly anticipated in Korea with a new studio album has been revealed.
On June 27th, it was reported that the popular girl group’s comeback was reaching its final stages with the completion of their music video filming produced by Johnny Brothers‘ director Hong Won Ki. The shooting took place in Koh Samui, Thailand between June 10th and 14th.
Known for his visually stunning music video productions, Hong Won Ki impressed with Seo Tai Ji‘s “Moai” in 2009. He has also worked with artists such as TVXQ‘s “Something,” BEAST‘s “Shock,” SECRET‘s “Madonna,” f(x)‘s “Rum Pum Pum Pum,” and more.
Director Hong also previously worked with Girls’ Generation with their videos “The Boys” in 2011 and “I got A Boy” in 2013.
For their July comeback, Girls’ Generation will not only comeback with one but THREE music videos, making this upcoming activities the biggest ever prepared for the group since their debut. The preparation of these three music videos reveals why Girls’ Generation’s comeback, originally revealed to be for May then June, was set back repeatedly.
Since June 2009 with the release of “Tell Me Your Wish (Genie),” this is Girls’ Generation’s first summer comeback. Though the specific date and comeback concept have yet to be revealed, their activities will undoubtedly clash with labelmate’s Super Junior, who will be celebrating their 10th anniversary with a comeback in July as well.
