Girls’ Generation’s Taeyeon Comments On Her Weight During Recent Japan Concert
Girls’ Generation‘s Taeyeon recently held the Japan leg of her world tour The ODD of LOVE.
Here, she gave a TMI about bananas being her favorite tour snack. The ones that she was offered in Japan were among her favorite.
Japan’s bananas taste good. I’ve been eating them this entire tour…the staff sent me various items as gifts, and I ate the bananas one by one at the hotel.

She then segued to a topic that has concerned fans for the longest time—her weight. Comments about Taeyeon being “so thin” arose online as SONEs worried that her health was deteriorating.
Is Taeyeon okay? Why is she so thin? This is concerning I'm worried about her. Taeyeon fans please give her lot of love and support and ask her to take care of herself cuz I'm concerned. She's lost too much weight since I saw her last time in SMTOWN Tokyo #Taeyeon #SNSD

Taeyeon looks incredibly thin. Or is it just me. Idk her bones are sticking out too much

This was allegedly due to the stress of non-stop personal schedules, preparing for Girls’ Generation’s August 2022 anniversary comeback, and contracting COVID-19 three months later.
Taeyeon literally lost heaps of weight with non stop work + Covid and promised to he healthier this year but of course, kpop fans are built different with this and that. https://t.co/WZKaNhcxg2

Thankfully, she shared in her recent concert that she has been putting on weight to be ready for her demanding tour schedule.
In fact, I gained some weight and my members really love it.

Because her mother is the one who worries about her the most, she sent her a message assuring her that she is eating well.
Mom, I eat really REALLY well. So, please don’t worry about me at all.
— Taeyeon
She ended with a sweet reminder that her mother should stay healthy as well.
Instead, take care of yourself first! Hwaiting. I love you!

Taeyeon’s The ODD of LOVE concert in Japan was held at the Tokyo Metropolitan Gymnasium from July 8-9.
