Netizens are reacting to Girls’ Generation‘s Yoona and 2PM Junho‘s steamy and passionate kiss during the recent King The Land episode.
Throughout the series, netizens have seen the romance blossom between the two characters. From Junho’s character falling in love and trying to woo Yoona’s character to their mutual feelings being apparent, it’s been loved by K-Drama fans worldwide.
In episode eight, netizens finally saw the relationship take the most crucial step… and sealed with a kiss!
After sticking to all K-Drama fans’ fantasies about a classic trope, the producers gave viewers a kiss that started in the rain. The two slowly lingered near each other as the tension mounted, and their gaze was strong.
The scene was almost in slow motion as their lips met, as Junho’s hand went behind Yoona’s neck. Netizens were surprised at how long and intense the kiss was. Considering the production, it was very slow and passionate.

It didn’t take long for the kiss to start again, just as passionately as the first. Altogether, the entire scene lasted over two minutes!
When the scene aired, netizens couldn’t get over the steamy kiss between the duo. Of course, while many joked that it finally happened after the raging chemistry between the characters, others pointed it how long and passionate it was. Yet, while most netizens loved the kiss, Korean netizens had more mixed feelings. In particular, while they loved the drama, many thought the kiss scene production wasn’t great. In comments on theqoo, many described it as empty and some bits too long, with others describing it as corny.
