Girls’ Generation Yoona donates 10 million won to a blindness awareness campaign
Yoona of Girls’ Generation has reportedly donated 10 million Korean won ($9,095 USD) to a blindness awareness campaign founded and owned by Sooyoung’s father, Choi Jung Nam.
It was reported on December 16th that Girls’ Generation’s Yoona donated 10 million won to a blindness awareness campaign to help patients with pigmentary degenerations of the retina and visually impaired patients.
The idol star donated the large sum to the Korean Retinitis Pigmentosa (RP) Association’s RP Eradication Charity Music Festival set to be held on December 20th at the Seoul Gangnam’s meeting hall.
The Korean RP Association was first founded by the father of Girls’ Generation’s Sooyoung after being chronically diagnosed with retinitis pigmentosa in 2006.
SM Entertainment’s Tin Tin Five and Sooyoung have been announced to be the special guests at the music festival.
