Girl's Day's Hyeri "Disappointed" At Choreographer Leejung

In the latest episode of “Hyeri’s Club,” Girl’s Day Hyeri‘s YouTube series, the idol invited her friend and popular choreographer Leejung.

The two bonded over some chi-maek, a beloved Korean combination of fried chicken and beer. And while discussing Leejung’s past choreographies for other K-Pop idols, Hyeri expressed disappointment at the fact that she never got to work with Leejung!

Leejung explained what an honor it is to watch her choreographies be tried by various idols and even fans around the world, thanks to the “challenges.” As a choreographer, Leejung commented, “There is such a huge appreciation for people experimenting with [her] choreographies.”

Doing dance challenges has become its own culture, now. So I get to see my work be done by all kinds of people. And, the thing is, most people give it their best even if their moves might not be perfect. Watching that makes me feel so proud and… There’s such a huge appreciation for people experimenting with my choreographies.

Then, in the cheekiest manner, Hyeri complained that she never got to work with Leejung.

Hyeri: But I never got to try one of your choreographies!

Leejung: Here’s the funniest thing. You said that to me before! You were like, “Why didn’t you choreograph anything for us?!” And I was like, “But… I was in middle school at that time!” [Laughs] I WASN’T EVEN IN KOREA! I was living in the states, and I hadn’t even started dancing yet. I still apologized anyway!

While the idol and the choreographer pair laughed at the unfortunate “disappointment,” K-Pop fans found the idea to be worth exploring for sure!

“Haha! OK, but I think the middle-schooler Leejung would have well been able to pull off a choreography, too. No?”
