While Go Kyung Pyo is styled with a professional, clean-cut short hairstyle for the K-Drama, some recent promotions show the actor with a different hairstyle that could not be more different.
Netflix, the international distributor for Frankly Speaking, recently shared a video featuring Go Kyung Pyo talking about filming a hilarious scene. Yet, netizens were distracted by his hairstyle.

Commenters questioned about the unusual haircut. Is it for a new role?
Some had jokes about the hairstyle, wondering if he was inspired by his fellow Reply 1988 character Jin Joo (Kim Sul) or The Glory‘s Teacher Chu Jeong Ho (Heo Dong Won).
The answer is no to all of the above. Previously, Go Kyung Pyo revealed that he chose his haircut personally, saying he originally wanted a hime cut, but it didn’t go as planned.
I really wanted to try a hime cut. So I drew a drawing. I got it ready beforehand and showed them. Actually, the hime cut should come down to the end of my lips. But it stopped at my cheekbones because my hair didn’t grow as much.
