Gong Yoo Explains What Sets “Coffee Prince” Apart From Any Other Project Of His Career
In MBC Docuflex‘s Coffee Prince special of Youth Documentary, actor, Gong Yoo talked about the legendary drama as well as his honest thoughts about what makes it so special.
Regarding the drama from 2007, Gong Yoo shared that it can be compared to his first crush.
It’s kind of like my first crush. It feels like I came face-to-face with someone who I tried to keep as nothing but a memory.

Gong Yoo also confessed that he hesitated on appearing on the documentary special because of how much Coffee Prince means to him.
I wanted to keep the drama in my heart with the emotions I felt back then. I was afraid that it could distort or make things worse. Because I like it the way it is.

Gong Yoo then went on to explain what sets Coffee Prince apart from any other project he’s worked on in his career.
He revealed,
For some reason, when I rewatch Coffee Prince, I don’t feel embarrassed. Normally, I cringe when I see my own acting. But Choi Han Gyul is a character that I still don’t feel embarrassed about.
