Goo Hara’s Brother Submits a Legislative Petition to Enact the “Goo Hara Act”
Late Goo Hara‘s brother, Goo Ho In and his legal representative, Noh Jong Eon announced that he submitted a legislative petition to the National Assembly enact the “Goo Hara Act.”
The “Goo Hara Act” is an effort to make a parent who failed to properly protect their direct descendant and fulfill their duties as caregiver ineligibility for inheritance.
According to the current law, despite the fact that Goo Hara’s mother left the house when she was young and failed to carry out her duties as a mother, she is still able to inherit half of her late daughter’s wealth.
Ahead of this action, Goo Hara’s mother demanded half of her real estate, and in response, Goo Hara’s brother, Goo Ho In requested a trial for the division of inheritance.
But it’s been reported that even if the “Goo Hara Act” is passed, Goo Ho In will be unable to use the law to his advantage.
Regardless, legal representative, Noh Jong Eon expressed why Goo Ho In is pushing forward with this change in the legislature.
We submitted this petition in hopes that no one else will have to experience the tragedy Goo Hara faced from being abandoned by a parent at a young age and living with the pain of loneliness and longing for the rest of her days.
