Goo Hara’s Ex-Boyfriend, Choi Jong Beom Wins First Trial In Lawsuit Against Malicious Commenters
It’s been reported that Goo Hara‘s ex-boyfriend, Choi Jong Beom has won the first trial in his lawsuit against malicious commenters.
On March 16, the Seoul Central District Court made a ruling, which stated that “Mr. A must pay 300,000 Won ($265.12~) to Choi Jong Beom.”
Choi Jong Beom filed a lawsuit against netizens, accusing them of leaving malicious comments during his assault trial. He sued 6 different netizens, but only 1 commenter was charged and the remaining 5 defendants’ claims were dismissed.
Previously, Choi Jong Beom was sentenced to 1 year in prison after he was charged with assaulting, threatening and blackmailing the late Goo Hara with a sex tape. While he was sentenced to prison, the court ruled that he was still innocent since he was in a relationship with Goo Hara at the time.
Since his sentencing, Choi Jong Beom became the target of malicious comments. He announced that he would be taking legal action against those looking to defame his character.
