GOT7’s BamBam Is Making Ahgases Out Of NBA Players And Fans And Vice Versa

GOT7‘s BamBam is not just a multitalented idol but has been a longtime fan of basketball, and now he’s got the opportunity to introduce his two worlds to each other.

BamBam recently showed his support for one of his own idols, Stephen Curry (also known as Steph), a professional point guard for the Golden State Warriors of the NBA(the National Basketball Association). He encouraged his followers to vote for Steph in the upcoming 2022 NBA All-Star Game (the 71st NBA All–Star Game).

While the 2022 NBA All-Star Game will occur in Cleveland, Ohio, USA, on Sunday, February 20, 2022, voting began on Christmas Day, and BamBam tweeted about it immediately as voting began!

The NBA hosts an annual All-Star Game in February. This is actually the main event of the NBA All-Star Weekend, a three-day event that spans Friday to Sunday. The exhibition features 24 of the league’s star players selected by fans votes. So, like we vote for our favorite K-Pop groups and idols during awards season, basketball fans do the same, as you can vote on the official website or even just by tweeting.

Things proved to not be one-sided between BamBam and the Warriors either. Shortly after BamBam’s tweet, the official team account quote-tweeted the rapper!

And whatever BamBam wants, BamBam gets because… Steph has been ranking very high in the All-Star voting.

BamBam’s efforts didn’t go unnoticed. So, the Warriors has officially rewarded him for his hard work by appointing him as the Golden State Warriors’ Global Ambassador.

This was only the beginning for these two. The Warriors’ official account reposted BamBam’s post to Instagram Stories (which he then reposted), officially welcoming him to “The Dub Nation.” This refers to the fan base name for the Warriors.

The Warriors has been showing love right back to their new Global Ambassador on Twitter too. The team spirit is strong here!

That’s not all. None other than Stephen Curry himself responded to BamBam, both thanking and welcoming him!

These two are officially mutuals, too, as Stephen Curry even followed him on Twitter.

BamBam’s influence is truly remarkable. He’s making fans of not only an NBA team and its players but the rest of Dub Nation. At first, Warriors fans were just confused.

Some even wondered what Miami Heat player Bam Adebayo had to do with the Warriors.

So, Ahgases explained that this was someone entirely different. This “Bam” is a K-Pop idol called “BamBam.”

Of course, basketball fans had some questions like… Can he even play?

Ahgases reassured the Dub Nation that BamBam might not be an asset on the court, but off the court, with Ahgases, his power is unlike anything they’ve ever seen before. Trust.

Now, the Dub Nation is not only being introduced to BamBam but the rest of GOT7. Recently, Twitter user @tosi7v shared that they’d been listening to Youngjae‘s music but didn’t know who that was.

So, Ahgases were there to help and explain that he’s BamBam’s fellow GOT7 member. And, it looks like we got a new iGOT7 member!

Since then, @tosi7v has changed their Golden State Warriors fan account to incorporate GOT7. Just look at that bio and header!

There’s a real sense of comradery with Dub Nation and Ahgase. Fandoms that vote together stay together.

Even sports media house Essentially Sports has joined in on it. In an article announcing GOT7’s BamBam as the Golden State Warriors’ Global Ambassador, Essentially, Sports promoted his upcoming EP B.

Likewise, Ahgases are helping to educate each other on the Golden State Warriors. We should know our team since we’re voting for the players.

Ahgases and the Dub Nation are proving what true teamwork is. Thanks to BamBam, Stephen Curry and Andrew Wiggins are guaranteed to be at the 2022 NBA All-Star Game.
