The idol is also not afraid to defend himself, and he has recently done so.
On November 22, BamBam tweeted that people had gotten too comfortable speaking on his name and seemed to question if being nice was the best way to earn respect.
one thing i learned about myself today is
people are getting too comfortable speaking on my namemaybe being a nice person is not always a good way to gain at least a little of respect
i really want to know who will i become at the end of this journey

He followed up with another tweet that said to stop thinking and talking for him, calling out those who “act tough on the internet.”
so one thing i want to say is
stop thinking for me
stop talking for meto be honest you don't know me?
bc i'm here express my feelings sometimes
it doesn't mean you know mestop acting like you know everything
and live your real life besides spending your all day acting tough…— BamBam (@BamBam1A) November 22, 2024
The tweets did not directly mention any situation, but one of BamBam’s replies revealed that sometimes the issue comes from Ahgases or “birds” as GOT7’s fandom is known.
The idol also clarified that his tweets were not about a recent situation involving NCT‘s Ten.
Ten and Yangyang appeared on variety show, and while speaking about dancing skill, Joon Park asked Ten if he thought he was a better dancer than BamBam. Ten responded “Yes,” much to the hosts and his amusement.
BamBam and Ten are friends, and the moment was not malicious, as reflected in BamBam’s tweet, where he said that the pair had laughed about it later.
Hopefully, BamBam is able to have the respect he wants and deserves in the future!
