GOT7‘s BamBam has been increasingly transparent with fans about not being happy.

In July, BamBam posted an alarming update via Instagram. He indicated that he was extremely exhausted.

I just want to sleep and don’t wake up so I can finally rest.

He followed up, attempting to reassure fans. Many were extremely worried for BamBam.

Is been a long run from last year till now and still long way to go.

It was a lot of pressure and stress and since my body not really feel so well for a long time now.

Sometimes I’m getting sensitive and emotional.

I’ll do my best on this year and will find my time to rest.

I’ll be okay.

Still, BamBam has continued to imply that he’s unhappy amid his busy schedule.

Recently, BamBam has been on his 2024 [BAMESIS] SHOWCASE TOUR. During his Manila concert earlier this month, BamBam gave a speech to Ahgases (also known as iGOT7, GOT7 fans) that left them heartbroken. He revealed to them that he has been increasingly unhappy these days.

I feel like the more you grow up, the happy days … keep getting less … I’m gonna say I feel unhappy more than I feel happy these days … I just wanna be honest because you guys are the only people that I can talk to. You guys are the only people that I can lean to. So, that’s why I really wanted to express my feelings to you.

At the time, BamBam asked Ahgases to be happy, even when he could not be. He admitted that he has had a lot on his mind, and Ahgases help to cheer him up.

If this world (is) not gonna allow me to be so happy, at least I want to give my energy to you guys so y’all can be happy more. So, Ahgase, please, at least for me, please be happy for me, all right? And then someday … maybe when I need that energy, please, y’all can cheer me up and be there for me, so thank you. Not gonna cry, not gonna cry. …I have a lot of things going on in my mind right now, but then every time, the only place that I feel free and I feel like happy these days is meeting you guys on stage … so the stage is like a playground for me right now. When I’m by myself, I kinda think a lot, so I appreciate you guys come out here and have a good time for me.

Many found BamBam’s speech touching, and they appreciated that he was so honest. Still, fans were saddened to know BamBam has been struggling so much while bringing joy to others.

Now, BamBam has shared an update via X (formerly Twitter). He apologized for his recent negativity and promised to take some time off so that he can return as the positive BamBam many fans know and love.

the past 2weeks i want to say sorry for being so negative and sensitive

i will take sometimes off for myself and will comeback as a positive bambam again
