GOT7’s Jinyoung Updates Fans About His Upcoming Military Enlistment
As of late, GOT7‘s Jinyoung has remained incredibly busy both music-wise and with his acting career.
Most recently, the idol actor has earned praise for his dual role in the psychological thriller, A Christmas Carol. Between filming, he also found time to release his first solo album, Chapter 0: With.
Because Jinyoung is one of the many idols born in 1994 that would be required to begin his mandatory military enlistment this year, fans have been waiting for news on the subject since late last year.
In November 2022, Korean media announced that Jinyoung would enlist in March 2023; however, the idol’s company quickly clarified that there was no time set yet.
Still, fans have been waiting in suspense to see if the idol would enlist this month. It seems like Jinyoung himself just gave an update on his upcoming enlistment.
Jinyoung just wrapped up filming his next web drama, The Witch, and took to social media to share the good news. The star shared cute celebratory photos on his Instagram account.
He also sent messages to Dear. U Bubble, chatting with fans and even sharing a cute photo of himself.
After asking fans what they were curious about, it seemed like many sent in questions about his enlistment date. Jinyoung reassured them, saying he would let fans know when he would go and not worry about it anymore.

Earlier this year, GOT7’s Jay B quietly enlisted without announcing his plans, leaving fans only to find out when he donated to the Green Umbrella Child Fund Korea, who confirmed that he was “currently completing his military duty as a public service work personnel.”

Fans were probably worried that Jinyoung would do the same thing, but he has reassured them that an announcement will come!
