Grimes Showers G-Dragon With Endless Praises — Calls Him “An Icon And A God”
Canadian musician Grimes is making headlines for her love for K-Pop once again. The 33-year-old singer recently uploaded a TikTok video that parodied the famous “what’s in my bag” trend, where influencers show off the contents of their handbags. In true Grimes-like fashion, however, the musician showed off the impossible items that “fit” in her small pink bag.
In the short clip, Grimes showed off some large possessions, such as a Nintendo Switch, a massive book, a sword, and a laptop. However, amongst all of the items in her video, one particular item stole the show. The Canadian singer proudly showed off G-Dragon‘s One of a Kind album while captioning the segment, “prized GD mini album.”
Naturally, K-Pop fans shared their excitement upon seeing the G-Dragon album in the comment section of the video. It was Grimes’ response, however, that created even more chaos for K-Pop fans. When TikTok user @myfeetrcold exclaimed “SHE LIKES G DRAGON,” Grimes responded by sharing that “G-Dragon is an icon and a god one of [her] biggest influences tbh.” She also expressed her love for another BIGBANG member T.O.P and his “contributions to art.”
Grimes’ love for YG Entertainment artists doesn’t end here, as the musician showed off her close friendship with BLACKPINK‘s Jennie when she was asked about a potential collaboration with G-Dragon.
This isn’t the first time Grimes openly shared her love for K-Pop with her fans. In a previous interview with Fuse, the Canadian singer talked about her favorite groups and music videos, such as BIGBANG, Psy, 2NE1, CL, and Girls’ Generation.
The singer was also recently photographed with Jennie during the BLACKPINK member’s trip to the states, showing off her friendships and connections within the K-Pop industry.
