Gurumiharibo Responds To BIGHIT MUSIC’s Recent Statement Regarding Violation Of Artists’ Rights
Recently, photos of alleged K-Pop couple BTS‘s V and BLACKPINK‘s Jennie have been circulating online. They have all been “leaked” by a Twitter and Telegram user known as Gurumi Haribo (@gurumiharibo).
The authenticity of many of the photos has been questioned as more and more photos were “leaked.” Yet, more concerns have been raised after the user released unseen photos of fellow BLACKPINK member Jisoo and a netizen alleged the user had more access to other idols’ photos.
On September 29, BIGHIT MUSIC listed down on Weverse the steps they are taking to protect BTS, in particular, against internet trolls. They pointed out that they often do legal checks related to various types of hate comments. The company’s threats, contrary to what the antis may think, are never empty.
We have recently filed additional criminal complaints against postings with personal attacks and defamation using new information provided by fans as well as collected through our monitoring initiatives.
We have found multiple defamation postings containing false information about the artists on platforms in and outside of Korea. We also have found that a specific poster has been spreading the same ill-intentioned rumor in multiple platforms and filed a criminal complaint against the poster after gathering all of the repetitively uploaded postings.

When the statement was released, many assumed that it was targeted at Gurumiharibo. However, the user recently responded to the statement from BIGHIT MUSIC on the Telegram account. In the response, they explained that the release from the company is something that happens regularly and they have not been contacted.
A quarterly statement was released today, same as the end of every March, June, September, and December. It did not specify what rumors, against who and is generally vague. Also, I have not received any legal notice from anyone.
— Gurumi Haribo
The user then explained that if there is anyone who wants to sue them for defamation or spreading lies, then they would be willing to show the evidence.
Also I mentioned before, if somebody wants to sue me for defamation and/or spreading untruths, I will be willing to provide relevant evidence of my claims under the name of the law, so that a fair and UNBIASED truth will be revealed.
— Gurumi Haribo
Finally, the user reinforced that they were telling the truth and that everything that they have shared was accurate and done while the idols were on a date.
And, during the time the pictures I shared were taken, Taehyung and Jennie have been on these dates together. This is something that I will state again as this is the truth.
— Gurumi Haribo
One user on social media shared images of the message but also pointed out that Gurumi Haribo was correct and that BIGHIT MUSIC does issue statements every three months.
What is this again??? Hybe really posts these kind of statements every three months. Wait for them to post it again on December 🤦♀️
Gurumi claimed he hasn't received any legal notice yet🤷♀️
Will this thing ever end? We fans are so sick & tired of this.
Hope Jennie is doing fine pic.twitter.com/o065BSX4gs

Although Gurumi Haribo has had their Twitter suspended, they are still sharing “leaked” images through their Telegram. Netizens are hoping that issue is addressed and Gurumi Haribo is given consequences for invading the privacy of idols.
