Actress Sued For Having Adulterous Affair With Married Man
A woman who sued actress Ha Na Gyeong for breaking up her family won her lawsuit.
On July 18, a Busan court ordered that the actress pay the victim (“A”)₩15.0 million KRW (about $11,900 USD) for having inappropriate relations with A’s husband.
According to the courts, Ha Na Gyeong and A’s husband first met on December 2021 at an adult establishment in Busan. The two are said to have begun their relationship in January 20222. In April 2022, Ha Na Gyeong conceived A’s child while on a trip to Vietnam.
According to reports, A’s husband planned on moving to Vietnam after divorcing A, but his plans were foiled when A didn’t give him a divorce. When A’s husband didn’t further pursue a divorce, Ha Na Gyeong is said to have called A and revealed her relationship with A’s husband and that she was pregnant.
Reports state that Ha Na Gyeong had claimed that she didn’t know A’s husband was married until April 2022 and that she called A to retrieve money she lent out to her husband. The actress is said to have claimed innocence while stating if it weren’t for her, A wouldn’t have known about her husband’s adulterous affair. It is also stated that the actress had an abortion after her relationship with A’s husband became estranged.
I told A about the affair to cut off ties with her husband, even if he divorced her, and even if that meant I would raise the child alone. If it weren’t for me, A would have never known about B’s true nature — yet, she framed me and is making me, the victim, into the perpetrator. Although I have suffered from her (A) husband’s lies, and the mental and physical anguish from having an abortion, she has been demanding monetary compensation from me, even though I have committed no crimes.
