On July 18, a post titled “Don’t You Think Something Is Wrong With Han Seo Hee’s Prison Stories?” went viral.

In the post, a netizen uploaded several of Han Seo Hee’s responses from a recent Q&A. In her answers, the disgraced former trainee makes some startling revelations about her time in prison.

  • Question: Unnie, how many people share a room in prison? Have you ever had your own room?”
  • HSH: I had my own room for the two years I was there. I told the warden that I’m a princess and that I didn’t want to share my room with others and he gave me my own room because the warden thought I was pretty.”

  • Question: Hello, I sincerely would like to ask how much money does it cost to have your own room for 2 years?
  • HSH: Eh? Are you asking how much in rent did I pay for the private rooms? The prison system runs on your taxes. You do have to pay for your own items though.

  • Question: Unnie, do you feel bad about your crimes?
  • HSH: I wouldn’t say I feel bad, since my crimes didn’t have any victims. I do though have a lot of regrets. Rather than feel bad for my crimes, I often ask myself why I did some of the things that I did. Wait, is that feeling bad?

The post’s author then goes on to criticize Han Seo Hee for her answers before wondering why she still had so much support.

I can’t believe people are still fans of her when she talks like this. The fact she’s proudly flexing the fact she used a private room in prison. Isn’t she romanticizing her crimes? Does it make sense for tax money to be spent this way? Why do we support Han Seo Hee when we absolutely hate other drug criminals? Seriously, her supporters are proof that Korean women have a tendency to follow other women like handmaids. I’m surprised there isn’t a bigger controversy over what Han Seo Hee is saying.

  • “I think the women who ask her if she knows things about their oppas are the most pathetic.”
  • “Why do women act like handmaidens?”
  • “She’s so shameless, is she really in her 30s?”
  • “I think the people who stan her and ask questions are all paid to do so.”
  • “Do you really think she’s telling the truth about her prison experience? What kind of prison warden gives you a private room because you’re pretty?”
  • “Feels like she’s answering her own questions, lol.”
  • “This is f*cking perverse.”
