Han So Hee Reveals The Heartbreaking Reason Her Real Age Is A Year Older Than Her Public Age
Actress Han So Hee revealed the heartbreaking reason her public birthday is different from her actual birthday.
Recently, a photo has been gaining attention seemingly showing that rather than being born in 1994 like her official profile states, Han So Hee was born in 1993.
While it isn’t uncommon for celebrities to have a different birthdate publically, Han So Hee and her agency quickly responded to the discourse. In particular, the actress’s agency 9Ato Entertainment explained that Han So Hee was born in 1993 but says 1994 due to her mother’s past fraud allegations.
In a statement to the outlet TenAsia, Han So Hee explained what happened.
When I was about to enter fourth grade, I was forcibly taken to Ulsan due to my mother’s being wanted by the authorities. I then spent a year at home without attending school, and after my mother was incarcerated, I returned to Wonju and re-enrolled in the fourth grade.

The actress then added that she has been in the same grade as those born in 1994 since fourth grade. When the statement was shared, netizens shared their sympathy for Han So Hee and that she had to reveal such an intimate and heartbreaking time of her life to appease any “haters.”
