This article reveals plot details of a current movie or series.

JTBC‘s new romantic-comedy K-Drama My Sweet Mobster (also known as Woman Who Plays With), based on web novel Playful Woman, recently premiered. It stars Um Tae Goo (also romanized as Uhm Tae Goo) as Seo Ji Hwan, a mobster-turned-CEO who hires ex-convicts to work at his company. He’s the stoic, no-nonsense type until he meets Go Eun Ha (played by former Secret member Han Sun Hwa, also known as Sunhwa), a kids’ content creator.

Seo Ji-Hwan (Um Tae-Goo) is a former gangster. He quit that life and is now the CEO of a company. He tries to disband gangs and hires gang members, who were released from prison, to help them improve their lives.

Go Eun-Ha (Han Sun-Hwa) runs her own YouTube channel, which is for kids. She is known as Mini Sister. She wants to convey love and happiness to her audience, based on her own childhood memory of a boy in her neighborhood who played with her. The boy was older than her, but he was the only person who played with her. Her YouTube channel isn’t very popular. One day, when she is doing cleaning work as a part-time job, she somehow accidentally hurts Seo Ji-Hwan. She freaks out, but Seo Ji-Hwan seems to know her.

We’re only four episodes into the series currently, but viewers already can’t get enough of this couple. Their chemistry is undeniable, and the behind-the-scenes is even more evident.

Yet, some might not realize this is not the first time Han Sun Hwa and Um Tae Goo have worked together. Previously, the two appeared in OCN‘s 2019 thriller-mystery K-Drama Save Me 2, a sequel to the 2017 series Save Me and based on the 2013 animation movie The Fake. Um Tae Goo played Kim Min Cheol, while Han Sun Hwa portrayed Go Eun Ah.

Residents in a small town fall into a state of chaos due to the presence of a false religious group.

Kim Min-Cheol (Um Tae-Goo) was once a promising judo athlete in his high school days, but, due to his personality with a strong sense of justice, he went in and out of prison. One day, he hears that his hometown of Wolchoori is designated as a an area to be submerged and residents will receive compensation. Kim Min-Cheol goes back to Wolchoori. He sees strangers in the town and feels something weird.

Choi Kyung-Seok (Cheon Ho-Jin) comes to Wolchoori. He looks like a nice man with a smile on his face. The residents don’t trust him at first, but he helps them receive compensation and they begin to trust him. Choi Kyung-Seok then tries to set up a religious organization.

Kim Young-Sun (Esom) is the younger sister of Kim Min-Cheol. Her life at home is bleak. She is studying nursing and hopes to leave Wolchoori as soon as possible. Her brother Kim Min-Cheol returns home, but her life is still bleak as usual. At that time pastor Sung Cheol-Woo (Kim Young-Min) approaches her.

While Han Sun Hwa was not quite the female lead in Save Me 2, she and Um Tae Goo still shared scenes that showed they had chemistry from the beginning. Fans are so happy they have been reunited five years later, this time for a fun romantic comedy that truly showcases their chemistry. It feels like they were destined to star in My Sweet Mobster!

Um Tae Goo is naturally shy and introverted. So, having worked with Sun Hwa before, it is highly probable that it only makes him feel more comfortable and free, allowing their chemistry to reach its full potential for My Sweet Mobster.
