Here's How Song Hye Kyo Beat The Competition To Make Her Debut

Song Hye Kyo recently appeared on an episode of Yoo Quiz, where she dished about the way she ended up debuting. It is widely known that she debuted through a modelling contest when she was in middle school. This led her to become the model for a popular brand of uniforms, and snag a role in the drama First Love.

It was 1996 when she entered the contest. Song Hye Kyo claimed that she entered without any hair or makeup done. Even her uniform was borrowed from a close friend!

There were many people there who were already preparing to debut as celebrities. So they came with hair and makeup done. They also had their own uniforms. My school didn’t have a uniform so I borrowed one from a close friend. When I got there, everyone was all done up, but I wasn’t. I didn’t even know that you were supposed to. I just washed my hair and showed up with a bare face. I ended up winning the grand prize.
