Korean High School Student Caught Illegally Filming Women’s Body Parts
A Korean high school student was caught secretly filming women’s body parts during a concert.
On July 30, the Daejeon Police Station arrested a 17-year-old high school student A on charges of violating the Special Act on Punishment and Sexual Crimes.
It was reported that A was seen illegally filming the bodies of women during PSY’s Summer Swag concert on June 28 at the Daejeon leg of his show.
A citizen who saw the high school student filming women reported the case to police on site. The police caught the student and took him to the nearest police station. After checking the student’s phone, they discovered several photos of illegally taken photos.
The police have also requested digital forensics on the student’s cell phone to investigate the details of the crime.
Anyone who uses a camera to film another person’s body against their will or distributes, sells, rents, or shares the footage is subject to 5 years according to Article 14 or subject to a fine of up to 10,000,000 KRW ($~7,279.40 USD).
