H.O.T Member Jang Woo Hyuk Mourns The Passing Of His Father
Jang Woo Hyuk, a member of the iconic first-generation boy group H.O.T., unfortunately lost his father on January 14, KST.
The singer’s agency, WH Creative, shared the sad news with the media. According to their statement, Jang’s father passed away at the age of 82. The wake has been set up in a special room at the Gumi Jeil Nursing Hospital‘s funeral hall in Gyeongsangbuk-do. Jang Woo Hyuk and his two older brothers were listed as the chief mourners.
The funeral is scheduled for January 16 at 8:30 am. WH Creative also shared that Jang’s father will be buried at the Gumi City Memorial Park.
For those unfamiliar with Jang Woo Hyuk, he debuted in 1996 as a member of H.O.T., one of the most popular K-Pop groups of his generation and still much revered in the industry. In 2001, he and two other H.O.T. members re-debuted as the boy band jtL, which was active till 2003. Jang then debuted as a soloist in 2005. In March last year, he released a new single “FEEL IT,” and in December, held a Christmas fan concert Blue Sunshine.
