HYBE Admits LE SSERAFIM’s “Weakness” Is Live Singing In Latest Internal Documents Leak
On November 1, KST, another set of internal documents shared by HYBE began circulating online.
This time, the leak seems to have come from an employee of the company, revealing discussions on various groups, including several under HYBE. Included in these leaks were thoughts on LE SSERAFIM, including their live singing.
Last year, LE SSERAFIM were the target of criticism surrounding their live vocals following a music show encore performance. These criticisms continued across many of their stages, including at Coachella 2024.
LE SSERAFIM’s Sakura Gets Criticized Heavily For Bad Live Singing
HYBE attempted to address these criticisms through various means, as discussed in the newly leaked documents. Their live singing ability is referred to as a “weakness” and stating that the group needed to find ways to overcome it.
A bit of momentum had built up, but it got somewhat diluted after Lim Young-woong’s dance song performance, where his lip-syncing was quite obvious. There are definitely people trying to exploit this group’s weaknesses to attack them, and the fact that they’re starting to target live performance skills could be a warning sign. They need to keep looking for ways to strengthen this area. Considering their upcoming performances, finding a clear way to overcome any controversies regarding live singing is essential.
