HYBE’s Announcement On BTS’s Weverse Sparks Anger
HYBE’s latest Weverse announcement has angered fans.
Weverse is a fan platform created by HYBE that allows fans to chat with each other and leave messages for their favorite idols. Many love the platform’s diverse capabilities and how idols are brought closer than ever.
However, the platform has also been used to help convey messages to idols. Most recently, many fans have left information regarding the ongoing genocide in Palestine for both idols and other fans to read and be informed on.

However, a recent guidelines notice has left many feeling silenced by the company.
Following a recent surge in Pro-Palestine messages, a notice from BTS‘s Weverse discussing the app’s guidelines was spotted by fans. In the notice the app mentioned that posts that “discriminate against or promote prejudice against any political stance” were listed as against the guidelines.
Posts and comments that discriminate against or promote prejudice against any political stance, religion, gender, disability, age, race, region, occupation, etc.

Many have found this to be suspiciously timed with the influx of pro-Palestine messaging, calling out the company for attempting to silence them.
