HYBE CEO‘s comments alluding to NJZ (NewJeans) and the ongoing battle with ADOR have sparked major anger.

On March 31, HYBE held its shareholders meeting, and a comment from the CEO, Lee Jae Sang, about the ongoing situation regarding ADOR and NJZ gained attention. In the report, it added that the company’s “response” to the incident was seeing results.
HYBE CEO Lee Jae Sang stated on the 31st that the company’s response to the year-long ‘ADOR incident’ is yielding results based on principles.
According to the music industry, during HYBE’s annual general shareholders’ meeting held in Mapo-gu, Seoul, on the morning of the same day, CEO Lee was asked about HYBE’s governance enhancement measures in relation to the ADOR incident.
He responded by saying, ‘I mentioned at last year’s shareholders’ meeting that while it would take time, we would address each issue step by step based on principles. I believe we are now starting to see the results.’

The original Korean source refers to the ongoing controversy as the “ADOR Incident,” but a similar article was shared by Korea Joongang Daily, and it sparked the attention of international fans. Although this article blatantly refers to the situation being about NJZ, it still had the same basis that the situation would be dealt with step by step and that they were seemingly seeing results.

One netizen even shared that HYBE had copyrighted a remix of NJZ’s song from another artist, which many thought was a direct attack on the group as the company seemingly didn’t do it for other groups.
#Hybe has copyrighted an extremely popular jersey club remix of a #NJZ song, the most popular song by the artist that remixed it, however Hybe did not #copyright a #remix of a song by another one of their artists, Hybe is, once again, targeting anything and everything that has to… pic.twitter.com/fdeZSMhWwq
