HYBE Labels Reportedly Debuting Two New K-Pop Boy Groups Next Year

Is TXT finally getting a younger brother group?

Despite the ongoing controversies that HYBE Labels has been involved with lately regarding ADOR CEO Min Hee JinNewJeans, their questionable new virtual girl group, and other issues, it seems that the company is preparing to debut two brand new K-Pop groups next year.

According to a report, HYBE’s subsidiaries BIGHIT MUSIC (home to BTS and TXT) and HYBE Japan (home to &TEAM) are getting ready to debut what are rumored to be new boy groups.

This is on top of the rest of BTS’s members completing their military service by June 2025, which will undoubtedly be a busy and hectic time for the label.

Translation: “This is because there will be plenty of momentum next year, such as BTS’ full-group activities and new debuts by HYBE Japan and BIGHIT MUSIC. BTS member J-Hope will be discharged from the military in October of this year. Following this, RM, V, Jimin, and Jungkook will be discharged from the military in June next year, and Suga will also be discharged from military service in the same month.”

The news has been met with not-so-great responses. Many feel like HYBE Labels has become a sort of factory when it comes to producing idol groups, since they are debuting so many so close together. Others feel like the label is already struggling to properly manage and take care of the artists that they do have, and that adding on more groups will only be detrimental to their current idols.

On the other hand, at least for BIGHIT MUSIC, it has been over five years since their last group, TXT, debuted in March 2019. They’re far from being rookies anymore, so this might finally mean that they get a younger brother group.

  • “Wow.”
  • “Recently, all the labels who didn’t debut any rookies debuted them…”
  • “Why are they dropping new groups all the time… It’s not like they need to have idols all year round.”
  • “…. This is why we hear the term ‘idol factory’.”
  • “Take care of the idols you have … ㅠㅠ”
  • “So they’ll probably debut another localized group like &TEAM. So a group that will be the equivalent of TXT.”
  • “BIGHIT is also doing auditions this year, so looks like they’re finding people for their next group.”
  • “Stop this…”
  • “This is so annoying, treat the kids you have better.”
  • “This is honestly a factory…”
